Dear Mike,
I am not coming to work today. It has already been approved. No, you can't change my mind about it. Yes, that means you'll have some extra paperwork to do. Yes, I do believe you can handle it. Yes, you can use my desk even though your new one is bigger than mine and you should have no reason to use it. No, I won't think it's funny if you call me every hour to update me on what you think is the real reason I'm taking the day off.

Laken-I just didn't feel much like working.
I can relate to the 'not feeling like it' syndrome. We all have days like that. Sometimes those days drag out into weeks, and you just need some time to regroup.
